Smoothies

Smoothies

It's easy to create a light, refreshing start to the day!
These recipes will generally fill a 20-oz glass (or, a small serving for 4 people).
Place the ingredients into a blender and top with its lid. Turn on the blender (low speed).  Increase the blender speed to max, while ensuring the ingredients are mixing properly.  If it's too runny, add more ice; too thick (i.e., it is too solid to mix), add milk or water.
For any recipe, if you use frozen fruit, simply omit the ice.
FEEL FREE to adjust these recipes.  If you like the fruity flavor, add more fruit! 
If you like it less sweet, reduce the sweetener! 

Blue or Red Dragon

Exotic taste, that's both smooth and crunchy.

  • 1/2 cup frozen dragon fruit

  • 1/2 cup blackberry (Blue Dragon) or raspberry (Red Dragon)

  • 1/4 cup frozen blueberry

  • 1 tsp fresh mint

  • 1/2 cup orange juice

  • 1/2 cup oat milk

  • 1 T sweetener

Chocolate Cherry

Sweeter than a Valentine's treat!

  • 1 cup frozen cherry, pitted

  • 1/2 cup dried tart cherry, pitted

  • 2 tsp cocoa powder

  • 1/16 tsp almond extract

  • 1 T chia seeds

  • 1 T sweetener

  • 1 cup almond milk

Pacific Shores

The acidity of the pineapple and kiwi gives this a 'spicy' kick.

  • 1/2 cup frozen kiwi

  • 3/4 cup frozen pineapple

  • 1/2 cup oat milk

  • 1/2 cup almond milk

  • 1/4 cup coconut milk

  • 1 T sweetener

Passion Pear

A lightly sweet, exotic mix.

  • 1 cup frozen pear

  • 1/2 cup frozen passion fruit

  • 1/4 tsp allspice

  • 1 cup almond milk

  • 2 T coconut milk

  • 1 T sweetener

Pear Ginger

Lightly sweet & refreshing.

  • 1-1/2 cup frozen pear

  • 1 tsp fresh ginger

  • 2 T raisins

  • 1 cup fresh spinach

  • 1 cup almond milk

  • 1/2 T sweetener

Snickers

Like the famous candy bar!

  • 1-1/2 cup frozen banana

  • 1 date, chopped

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

  • 1 T cocoa powder

  • 1 T peanut butter

  • 1 cup oat milk

Strawberry Shortcake

Taste of strawberries with a cake-like finish.

  • 1-1/2 cup frozen strawberry

  • 1 T strawberry jam (optional)

  • 1 T sunflower seed butter

  • 3/4 cup oat milk

  • 1/2 cup coconut milk

  • 1 T sweetener

Tropical

A refreshing orange/pineapple treat ... like the one you bought from the ice cream truck!

  • 1/2 cup frozen peach

  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple

  • 1/2 cup orange juice

  • 1/2 cup oat or almond milk

  • 1/4 cup coconut milk

  • 1 T sweetener
